भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष आज देहरादून में डांडा राजीव नगर स्थित लाइफ केयर पैथोलॉजी सेंटर द्वारा आयोजित रक्तदान शिविर में मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर पहुंचे। उन्होंने इस आयोजन की सराहना की। यह रक्तदान शिविर 22 जनवरी को रामलला की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित किया गया। उन्होंने कहा कि कोरोना काल में रक्तदान की बहुत कमी थी। डेंगू और कोरोना जैसी महामारी के समय भी रक्त की जरूरत होती है। यदि समाज जागरूक होगा तो कई मरीजों की जान बचाई जा सकती है। इस मौके पर प्रदेश अध्यक्ष ने कई सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्ताओं और पत्रकारों को सम्मानित भी किया।
शिविर में स्थानीय विधायक उमेश शर्मा काऊ भी पहुंचे। उन्होंने रक्तदान को महादान बताया और आयोजकों की सराहना की। संस्कृति विभाग की उपाध्यक्ष मधु भट्ट भी शिविर में पहुंची। प्रदेश के नामी न्यूरो सर्जन डा. महेश कुड़ियाल ने कहा कि आज भी लोगों में रक्तदान को लेकर संशय है। उन्होंने कहा कि हादसे के बाद या कई बार प्रसव के बाद घायल या मरीज को तुरंत रक्त की जरूरत होती है, लेकिन रक्त देने के लिए लोग कतराते हैं, ऐसे में मरीज की जान खतरे में पड़ जाती है। उनके अनुसार एक यूनिट रक्तदान से तीन लोगों की जान बचती है। रक्तदान से बोनमेरो और अधिक मजबूत होती है और इससे शरीर का लाभ ही होता है। उन्होंने कहा कि मानसिक वहम है कि रक्तदान से किसी तरह की शारीरिक कमजोरी होती है।
