पौड़ी/देहरादून। उत्तराखंड में उद्यान के क्षेत्र में अपार सम्भावनएं हैं। राज्य सरकार इन सम्भावनाओं को हकीकत में बदलने में जुटी है। इसके लिये सरकार की ओर से कई योजनाएं संचालित की जा रही है, जिसमें सेब उत्पादन को बढ़ावा देना भी शामिल है। सहकारिता विभाग के अंतर्गत एप्पल मिशन के तहत काश्तकारों को सेब की खेती के लिये प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है। इस मिशन के तहत प्रदेशभर के सेब काश्तकारों को जोड़ा जा रहा है ताकि जम्मू कश्मीर एवं हिमाचल की तर्ज पर सेब के बगीचे विकसित कर उत्तराखंड को सेब उत्पादन में अग्रणी राज्य बनाया जा सके।
यह बात प्रदेश के कैबिनेट मंत्री डा. धन सिंह रावत ने आज सेबाग एग्रो प्रा0 लि0 द्वारा पौड़ी गढ़वाल के चोपड़ा (नौगांव) में कलासन फार्म में आयोजित सेमिनार में कही। ‘उत्तराखंड में सेब की खेती की सम्भावनाओं’ विषय पर आयोजित एक दिवसीय सेमीनार में बतौर विशिष्ट अतिथि डा0 रावत ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड में सेब उत्पादन की अपार सम्भानाएं हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य की जलवायु सेब उत्पादन के लिये काफी मुफीद है। ऐसे में यहां सेब उत्पादन को बढ़ावा मिल सकता है। डा0 रावत ने बताया कि राज्य सरकार इस दिशा में काम कर रही है और काश्तकारों के लिये कई योजनाएं चलाई जा रही है, जिनका लाभ काश्तकार उठा रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि सेब की खेती को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिये सहकारिता विभाग की कृषि ऋण योजना के अंतर्गत एक हजार सेब के बगीचे विकसित करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।
