मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि भविष्य को देखते हुए आवश्यक विद्युत की मांग के अनुरूप आपूर्ति की योजनाएं अभी से तैयार कर लें। उन्होंने यूपीसीएल, पिटकुल व उरेडा से मिलकर प्रस्ताव तैयार करते हुए नए विद्युत घरों के कार्य का निर्माण शीघ्र करने के निर्देश दिए।
उन्होंने जिलाधिकारी नवनीत पाण्डे को निर्देश दिए कि जनपद में होने वाले प्रत्येक निर्माण कार्यों में पूर्ण गुणवत्ता, समयबद्धता तथा पारदर्शिता रहे। इस हेतु वह स्वयं स्थलीय निरीक्षण कर समीक्षा करें।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि वन भूमि हस्तांतरण के कारण जो भी परियोजनाएं लंबित हो रही हैं। उनका त्वरित निस्तारण करते हुए अधिकारी व्यक्तिगत जिम्मेदारी से कार्य करें और शासन स्तर की समस्या हेतु अधिकारी देहरादून आकर संबंधित विभाग और स्वयं उनसे मिलकर समस्या का निवारण करें, ताकि समस्या का समाधान शीघ्र हो सके। बैठक में उन्होंने कहा कि टनकपुर बनबसा क्षेत्र में पुरानी विद्युत लाइनें एवं ट्रांसफार्मर को एक माह के भीतर बदलने के साथ ही एलटी लाइन को भूमिगत करने हेतु प्रस्ताव तैयार करें साथ ही नए टर्मिनल भी बनाएं।
उन्होंने कहा कि अधिकारी जनता की समस्याएं प्राथमिकता से सुनते हुए उनका निस्तारण करें और किसी भी प्रकार से जनता को उनकी समस्याओं से उलझाए नहीं। ग्रीष्मकाल में बढ़ती विद्युत की मांग को देखते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों को अपने कार्यालय एवं आवासों में ग्रिड कनेक्टेड सोलर पावर प्लांट ( सीएम सूर्य घर योजना) को लगाने के निर्देश दिए। साथ ही मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने जनता से भी इस योजना का लाभ लेने की अपील की।

बैठक में उत्तराखंड पावर कॉरपोरेशन, पिटकुल, उत्तराखंड जलनिगम, विद्युत निगम, लोक निर्माण विभाग एवं जल संस्थान के विभागाध्यक्ष द्वारा वर्तमान में विद्युत पेयजल की समस्या के समाधान हेतु की जा रही कार्यवाही को पावर पॉइंट प्रेजेंटेशन के माध्यम से अवगत कराया।
