मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के नेतृत्व में सांस्कृतिक पुनरूत्थान के कार्य किए जा रहे हैं। सीमांत क्षेत्रों का भी विकास हो रहा है। साथ ही भारत को पुनः परम वैभव की ओर ले जाने के प्रयास किए जा रहे है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के नेतृत्व में जम्मू कश्मीर से अलगाववाद को बढ़ावा देने वाली धारा 370 को समाप्त कर दिया गया है। आज प्रधानमंत्री के नेतृत्व में शुरू की गई योजनाएं लोगों के जीवन को बदल रही है तथा प्रदेश सरकार ने भी उत्तराखण्ड के हित में कई निर्णय लिए है।
इससे पहले मुख्यमंत्री ने सिद्धपीठ हाटकलिका मंदिर में माँ महाकाली की पूजा-अर्चना कर प्रदेश की खुशहाली की कामना की। मुख्यमंत्री ने महाकाली मंदिर परिसर में एक रुद्राक्ष का पौधा लगाकर एक पेड़ मां के नाम अभियान के तहत वृक्षारोपण कर आम जनमानस को संदेश दिया कि सभी जनमानस अवश्य एक पेड़ मां के नाम अभियान के तहत वृक्षारोपण करें। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने क्षेत्र के विकास से संबंधित अनेक घोषणा की जिसमें विकास खण्ड बेरीनाग के अंतर्गत चौड़मनिया – कीमतोली मोटर मार्ग पर सेतु निर्माण का कार्य ,राजीव गांधी नवोदय विद्यालय गंगोलीहाट की चार दिवारी का निर्माण कार्य, राजकीय इंटर कॉलेज गंगोलीहाट के मैदान का चौड़ीकरण तथा गंगोलीहाट में ट्रॉमा सेंटर बनाने, राजकीय कन्या इंटर कॉलेज भवन की मरम्मत किये जाने, न्याय पंचायत केंद्र पोखरी में स्थित विद्यालय को उच्चीकृत किये जाने, सरयू तथा रामगंगा के संगम स्थल पनार घाट का सौंदर्यीकरण किये जाने के साथ ही राजकीय महाविद्यालय गणाई में पुस्तकालय का निर्माण किये जाने की घोषणाएं की गई।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार प्रदेश के सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज प्रदेश की मातृशक्ति हर क्षेत्र में आगे बढ़ कर आत्मनिर्भर बन रही है। स्वयं सहायता समूह से जुड़ी हुई हमारी महिलाएं विश्वस्तरीय उत्पाद बना रही है।
