देहरादून। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने हिमालय दिवस पर कहा कि राज्य में हर वर्ष 2 सितम्बर को बुग्याल संरक्षण दिवस मनाया जायेगा। और हिमालय के सरोकारों से जुड़े विषयों के लिए महानिदेशक यूकॉस्ट दुर्गेश पंत के संयोजन में एक कमेटी बनाई जायेगी। हिमालय दिवस पर मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जलवायु परिवर्तन तेजी से हो रहा है। देहरादून में भी इस वर्ष तापमान में काफी वृद्धि हुई। अगर तापमान इसी गति से बढ़ता रहा तो आने वाले समय के लिए चिंताजनक है। हमें हिमालय, जल और जंगल के संरक्षण की दिशा में मिलकर प्रयास करने हैं, सोचना होगा कि अपनी आने वाली पीढ़ी को विरासत में क्या देकर जा रहे हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पिछले कुछ वर्षों में हमने तमाम आपदाएं देश-दुनिया मे देखी हैं। इस बार भी हमारे प्रदेश में कई जगह आपदा आई। पिछले साल हमने आपदाओं पर वर्ल्ड कांग्रेस का आयोजन भी किया। 29 नवंबर 2023 को यह आयोजन हुआ था और उसी दिन सिलक्यारा टनल में फंसे श्रमिकों को सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला गया था। उन्होंने कहा कि जब 17 दिन तक रेस्क्यू चल रहा था तो बहुत बार लगता था कि आज ब्रेक थ्रू होगा लेकिन कुछ न कुछ अड़चन आती रही।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हिमालय के महत्व को हमें नई तरह से समझने की जरूरत है। जल स्रोतों और नदियों के पुनर्जीवीकरण की दिशा में सरकार द्वारा निरंतर कार्य किये जा रहे हैं। इसके लिए स्प्रिंग एण्ड रिवर रिज्यूवनेशन अथॉरिटी का गठन किया गया है। हिमालय के संरक्षण के लिए अनेक कार्य किये जा सकते हैं। हिमालय हमारी अमूल्य धरोहर है, जिसे बचाने की आवश्यकता है। उत्तराखंड पहला राज्य है जहाँ जी.ई.पी की शुरूआत की गई है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य में इकोलॉजी व इकॉनमी में संतुलन बनाकर विकास के कार्य किये जा रहे हैं। सरकार पौधरोपण, जल संरक्षण और पर्यावरण संरक्षण के क्षेत्र में निरंतर कार्य कर रही है, लेकिन इन सब में जनसहभागिता की जरूरत है, तभी हम इन प्रयासों में सफल हो पाएंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि नीति आयोग की बैठक में भी उन्होंने हिमालय के लिए अलग से योजना बनाये जाने की बात उठायी है। उत्तराखंड की जनसंख्या सवा करोड़ है और व्यवस्था हर साल लगभग 10 करोड़ लोगों के लिए करनी पड़ती है। उत्तराखण्ड के लिए योजना बनाते समय राज्य में आने वाली फ्लोटिंग पोपुलेशन को ध्यान में रखकर योजना बनाने के लिए नीति आयोग की बैठक में अनुरोध किया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा हमने सस्टेनेबल टूरिज्म की बात की है, जिसे लेकर योजनाएं बनाई जा रही हैं।
हिमालय के सरोकारों से जुड़े विषयों के लिए महानिदेशक यूकॉस्ट दुर्गेश पंत के संयोजन में एक कमेटी बनाई जायेगी। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने यूकॉस्ट द्वारा आयोजित की जाने वाली राज्य स्तरीय पांचवें देहरादून, अन्तरराष्ट्रीय साइंस एण्ड टेक्नोलॉजी फैस्टिवल के पोस्टर का विमोचन किया। यह महोत्सव 06 जनपदों देहरादून, चमोली, उत्तरकाशी, टिहरी, बागेश्वर और पिथौरागढ स्थित इंजिनियरिंग कॉलेजों में किया जायेगा।
