देहरादून। गढ़ी कैंट क्षेत्र में लंबे समय से चली आ रही सीवरेज की समस्या के समाधान की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण पहल अब धरातल पर आने वाली है। सीवरेज की समस्या के समाधान को लेकर शहरी विकास विभाग द्वारा जारी किये गये शासनादेश के बाद कैंट क्षेत्र के एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी से उनके कैंप कार्यालय में मुलाकात कर उनके प्रयासों के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया।
गढ़ी कैंट क्षेत्र में सीवरेज योजना के निर्माण के लिए कार्यदायी संस्था के तौर पर उत्तराखण्ड पेयजल निगम द्वारा टपकेश्वर महादेव मंदिर, गढ़ी, डाकरा, छावनी क्षेत्र में 9 एमएलडी का एसटीपी, 3 एमएलडी का एसपीएस, 0.16 एमएलडी सह-उपचार संयंत्र तथा आईएंडडी के साथ सीवर लाइन और मैनहोल्स का कार्य किया जाना प्रस्तावित किया है। इस परियोजना की कुल लागत रुपये 53.72 करोड़ है, जिसमें प्रथम किश्त के रुप में रुपये 14.58 करोड़ जारी कर दी गयी है। इस परियोजना के तहत 10.5 एमएलडी (मिलियन लीटर प्रति दिन) की क्षमता वाले जल शोधन संयंत्र और सीवरेज सुविधाओं का विकास किया जाएगा, इससे क्षेत्र में स्वच्छता व्यवस्था को मजबूत मिलेगी। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी को धन्यवाद देते हुए कहा कि यह परियोजना क्षेत्र के विकास में एक मील का पत्थर साबित होगी। उन्होंने आशा जताई कि कार्य जल्द से जल्द प्रारम्भ कर क्षेत्रवासियों को बेहतर सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराई जाएंगी।
